About Molly
Molly Rae is a comedian, writer, and performer based in New York City. She is active in the sketch, improv, and stand-up communities throughout NYC, as equally likely to be on the stage as she is to be laughing (inimitably and audibly) from the audience. Molly’s comedy often skewers contemporary culture, current politics, and her own contradictory existence.
Molly currently performs with the Armory Comedy Friday Night House Teams and writes sketch comedy for BoogieManja Sketch Collective. In 2022, Molly was awarded the NBC Universal/Saturday Night Live Scholarship through The PIT. She was recently selected to attend an Onion Satire Workshop at their Chicago Headquarters through the DaF (Diverse as F*ck) program.
Molly is extensively trained in improvisation, sketch writing, satire writing, and character comedy/performance. She has completed the curriculum at Upright Citizens Brigade, runs the tech and delivers opening announcements for PIT Improv Jams, and has been featured in various PIT Showcases.
Prior to pursuing comedy, Molly was engulfed in the world of live theatre, where she studied playwriting and acting.
